COMPREHENSIVE EYE EXAMS
At Focus Eyecare your eye health is our primary concern. Your optometry examinations are an important part of comprehensive health care. LASIK CO-MANAGEMENT
Our doctor is happy to discuss refractive surgery options and work with you on your post-operative needs. We will work with the surgeon of your choice or recommend the best surgeon based on your needs. After refractive surgery, for your convenience, you will be able to return to Focus Eyecare for your follow up care to ensure proper healing and great vision.
Vision Therapy
Vision Therapy is an individualized, rehabilitative program designed to treat developmental and/or neurologically induced dysfunctions of the visual system. The therapy involves procedures to improve eye teaming, eye focusing, tracking skills, eye movements, and visual processing. The American Optometric Association defines vision therapy as a sequence of neurosensory and neuromuscular activities individually prescribed and monitored by a doctor to develop, rehabilitate, and enhance visual skills and processing.
Functional Vision Evaluation
When a child or adult exhibits signs of reading and/learning difficulties, or suffers from vision dysfunction after traumatic brain injury, the first step should be a Functional Vision Evaluation. We begin with an in-depth case history, followed by a comprehensive sensorimotor and visual perceptual assessment. This evaluation measures eye coordination and visual processing related to reading fluency, letter reversals, handwriting, attention/concentration, and overall visual learning abilities. After testing, we will determine if any visual diagnoses are impacting educational performance, prescribe appropriate lenses when necessary and provide a written report, including classroom accommodations, and plan for therapeutic solutions to visual problems for future educational success.
CATARACT SURGERY CO-MANAGEMENT
Our doctors can diagnose cataracts, monitor, or refer you for cataract surgery if needed. We will work with the surgeon of your choice or recommend the best cataract surgeon based on your needs. After cataract surgery, for your convenience, you will be able to return to Focus Eyecare for your follow up care to ensure proper healing and great vision.
DRY EYE
Unfortunately, if your eyes are dry, they do not get better with time, without treatment. Dry eye syndrome is a chronic problem and can lead to more severe conditions and symptoms. Have no fear, we are here to help you. We can diagnose and treat with the appropriate therapy for you.
SCHOOL & SPORTS EYE EXAMS
